Earth Day Celebrations 2014

Reduce, Reuse, & Recycle are the three words that define Earth Day.  The week of April 22, 2014 is a great opportunity to expand our knowledge about treading more lightly on planet earth.  Going Green is more about a lifestyle then it is about a trend.  My pledge began with small commitments and grew to much larger proportions.  A little education goes a long way and can open your eyes to so many possibilities.  Your pledge can be as simple as using less or no disposable plastic, less water, or re-using/purposing everyday household items.  Below are a few events and organizations that can get you started.

1) Botanical Gardens Earth Day - Aprill 22 - nybg.org

2) Earth Day New York - April 22-24 - Union Square & Grand Central NYC - earthdayny.org

3) Green Festival - April 26-27 - Pier 94 NY - greenfestivals.org

Green Festival New York City 2014

Green festivals and marketplaces have been popping up more and more over the past few years.  Being green or going green as many state, isn't just a decision it's a way of life.  It's a commitment by you to help preserve the earth and our natural resources.  I believe it all begins with a little education.  Festivals like these provide the average person an opportunity to learn from experts in the field.  You may leave with a wealth of knowledge or just one point or product that resonates with you.  Whatever it may be anything is better then nothing, as with your contribution to the movement.

This year the festival kicks off at Pier 94 (new location) on April 26th & 27th.  Visit greenfestivals.org to register as a vendor or purchase tickets.  Early bird registration is opn until March 15% and offers a 50% discount if you use the promo code NARAWAK14.

Sincerely,
